Visitation Sunday, February 15, from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Krueger Funeral Home, 13050 S. Greenwood Ave., Blue Island. Cremation private. Jerry was a custodian for over 25 years but most of that time he spent at Blue Island District 130's Nathan Hale Primary school where he took great pride in his work, the children and his friendships with teachers and staff. He would let his beard grow out during the Christmas season and combined with his snow white hair he knew the delight of the children as they admired and talked to their own special Santa claus. Jerry had a love for fishing, history, the mountains of Colorado and all things newsy in the daily newspapers. He had a spirit about him that made everybody love him from the moment they met him. He was quick to laugh and brought much joy into the world. He will be missed by all.
